NHBRC - Breas Construction and Project Management

The NHBRC is a regulatory body which ensures that new homes are built according to the building regulations. They act in the interest of the client and the bank. A bank will not release funds to a builder for construction of a new home if they are not registered with the NHBRC.

An inspector does random checks during construction and if any faults are found the contractor receives notice to correct faults. If faults are not corrected the contractor will have a “default” against their name and will not be able to sign off the job or proceed with other projects until the matter is resolved and the “default” lifted.

There are unfortunately no legal requirements for extensions or renovations in this regard.

Dealing with a company which is registered gives you peace of mind. You will know that we are up to date with building regulations and in this regard will not deliver faulty workmanship.
